being nice doesn't really pay off sometimes

time and time again
Mood: calmed

As said in my current entry's title..

Being nice doesn't really pay off sometimes.
Being nice to people who don't appreciate your help is even worse. I couldn't have been a worser fool after that.
So, this is another lesson learnt: Choose the people you want to help REALLY carefully and with lots of care.

After which one can just go up and help the person in need, provided they've passed your list of criterias...

I used to help others without a second thought. It's something I would do, without any regrets, coz to watch others smile in gratitude and give their thanks profusely made me feel this huge sense of self-satisfaction and pride. That I could do something to make this person feel more at ease, to feel happier in someway or another.

But from now on, I will think twice before helping out. No doubt, helping an aunty cross the road will definitely put a smile on my face any day, coz aunty will smile and thank me and call me a "really nice nice ah girl" hahs.. :)

Anyway, I went chomping at Chomp Chomp's just now for dinner with dad..
We had chicken wings, satays, satay beehoon, fried hokkien prawn mee and this HUGGGE cup of sugarcane juice.
Dad said that there was MORE to chomping at chomp chomp's..

Charmaine, read, and learn.. hahs..

1) Plan your food at one go.
2) Order all the food at one go. It helps...
This allows the food to come at a really nice pace. Let's say, you order what I ate today..
order it in this sequence:
Satay, prawn mee, chicken wings, beehoon. and then sugarcane once you finish talking to the ah pek and aunties and you're feeling super thirsty.

This way, your food will come this way:

Sugarcane juice, Prawn mee, ChickenWings, beehoon, satays.

For some reason, the satays dad ordered were super slow for just 10 sticks.
It was an eye-opening experience too. hahs..
and yes, what Charmaine said on her blog about chomping is so true.

Your eyes tend to avert to the satay beehoon plates, you mouth waters at the side of the chicken wings and the sugarcane guy is a sucker for coyness and a whole clan of sugarcane juice fans.

And the uncles and aunties wanting to grab your seat really DO stand right next to your table, with their asses up your face.
I would have ate more, but it was getting a little too stuffy and hot in there, so I told dad after the satay beehoon, we ought to get back home and buy some cat food for the little feline.

So, yeap.. I don't mind going back to ChompChomp's one of these days..
I shall drag felix and gillian for a drink and some kickass chicken wings and satays... ;) They're the nearest and most accessible.
Well, actually, debra is, but she's not really at home most of the time.

Anyway, I'm tired, so I shall go read my M.A.D notes before heading to bed...
Toodles!! ;)

P.S: be nice to me, and I'll mirror that back to you.
