oh, I seem to have forgotten to add in the links...
Have to go reiterate those back in after this.. *shrugs* no biggie.
Anyway, oh yeah, went for golf and then when I got home, dad ushered me out again, this time for lunch, mom came along.. it's good to live off your parents, especially when your dad's rich and your mom just sits and smile and probably goes "there the daughter goes spending my husband's money again.." whenever I get dad to purchase something for me.. oh well, that's the great part of it anyway. (about just trying to figure what goes on in their heads)
You know, the Singapore Management University (SMU) looks really cool. Well, besides their idea of taking the entire Central Business District (CBD)[important business stuff that makes out to be everyone's everyday life takes place] into their study playground, literally... They've actually got different campus buildings plotted and located around and within the entire CBD. How, then, will the students get around to their allocated buildings within, say 5 minutes?
The roads out there are busy busy busy for about 20/7 (20 hours, 7 days a week) -- there ARE clubs and pubs along the stretch of some places in the CBD. --
But anyways, this is what makes the SMU so cool: They've got underground passageways that links ALLLL buildings together! It's cutting-edge architechture that's being used. coz mind you, most of singapore is reclaimed. okay, not most, but at least 20% of the land's reclaimed. And they're probably the first ever institution of any kind to do that! it's rather interesting!
right, gotta go do up that scholarship application form... all i'm left to do is to print out my GCE 'O' Level Certificate, and some other achievement award certificate. I swear, 500 years ago, everything was about papers, and 500 years later (which is today) it's still ALLL about papers! When are they gonna open their eyes and see... some people have the talents but they can't afford to get the papers done.. *sighs*
