tired...Mood: quite satisfied
bwahahahs.. it's talking about politics at the golf range. :P
This woman, about like 26+, she's playing at her own bay. And me, youngster, not dressed appropriately for Orchid Country club (i was in bermudas, track shoes, and normal t-shirt) just suanters into the club with 4 irons in hand, a ruddy smelly old glove (i forgot mine and had to use the younger bro's: his hand's as big as mine now. oh and dad brought his golf clubs along too)
and my card...
She wasn't pleased, not a bit pleased...
I had this frigging hell evil grin on my face when I saw her look at me like I was dirt. I checked out her swing. Daaaaamn.. she's nothing but a beginner who thought she could over-power a teenage girl.
Bah! hahas..initial thought that came to my mind was: "Bloody arrogant woman. I'll show you who's boss once I've warmed up."
But daaaamn. Mom (who was seated by the benches) told me we only had 45 minutes of golfing to do.
That meant pure concentration, and no fooling around whatsoever. *sighs* That meant I can't show that woman who's boss while checking out her expressions.
You know, I love golf range politics, when those know-it-all 20-something year-old lady golfers think they're so goooooood at golfing. It's a good thing that Golf's a skill very much like roller-blading.. It just takes a few practices before you're good at it. (when you're someone like me who keeps picking up and dropping the sport)
And it's even better when I know I've got a killer swing that would even make my dad jealous of. (he's got a handicap of 15 and I've got like.. heh.. i think it dropped to like 26 now)
But anyway, like I said, golf range politics. Those ladies think they're so great at golfing. They're so snobbish when they see this poorly dressed girl (me) walk past looking very poor. hahs...
The moment I start playing, they're just so jealous, they sneak PEEKS at how I play, and even try to imitate me!
Gawd, even that happened today! That 26+ year-old lady.. pffft.. arrogance... reflected back to me, I guess, since I'm being so arrogant about it now.. lol
But dammit, it was so interesting when I was hitting only at a really pathetic 160m with that 3-fairway wood. (i used to go 190m, my best at 210m) And she was there glancing at me every so often.. hahs..
For your info, that lady was hitting only 80m on her driver. and 30m with an iron. not sure which one, but yea.. um.. She's soooo a beginner to begin with..
Hahas.. I had to remind myself in that time frame of 30 minutes that she was there, that I'm no better, I hadn't played in over half a year or so.. I shouldn't get so arrogant as well.
I saw her laughing heartily when she watched me do this flop shot. [flop shots are when the ball kinda jumps and rolls off the mat coz you've swing the club too fast, no good contact on the ball with the club face]
It was a deliberate thing.. lol.. next 10 shots were PERFECT before I switched clubs.. hahhas.. She had that depressed look again. :D
How great!!!
Anyway, I'll be meeting up with Debra and Serica on wednesday after NEWater trip shit.. I'll call gins along to see if she can make it not. Oh, and the singnet roadshow's for NYP students only. sad....
hmmm... had this really interesting chat with both joey and amanda... hahahs...
it's sooooo frigging funny how Joey and I were down right bullying amanda to go take up golf and do some exercise coz she needed LOTS of exercise.. Joey was saying all sorts of remarks to amanda.. ahhas.. :P
I shall bully her again tomorrow again, bwhahahs... okok, maybe I won't.
Dr Xu's gonna scold me tomorrow. For not handing in my lab report for last week... :S I will hand it in tomorrow.. hahhas.. :P
Okay, I guess I better get going...
I think I can only place my next golf practice on friday night, or saturday.. we'll see how it goes.
Right now, I have to go blog in my written journals for today's Assisi stuff and golf practice. :)
